Steelman Spotlight: Black Oak Casino Resort Unveils Major Expansion and Renovation
Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne, California, has officially unveiled its extensive renovation and expansion of the hotel and guest areas, marking a significant milestone in the resort's evolution. The project, designed by our all-star team at Steelman Partners, introduces 48 new luxury suites, a comprehensive overhaul of the existing 148 guest rooms, and a refreshed hotel exterior. A standout feature of the expansion is the new, spacious lobby that seamlessly connects the hotel to the casino, enhancing the continuity of the overarching guest experience.
Black Oak Suites
Another highlight of the renovation is the debut of their new aquatic complex that opened in July 2024. This facility boasts two pools, including a family-friendly area with slides and splash zones, and an adults-only pool complete with a hot tub, pool bar, and lounge area. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment on the new outdoor stage and catch major sporting events on a massive outdoor screen.

The expansion was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 15, 2025, coinciding with the resort's 24th anniversary. The event featured tours of the new suites and lobby, live music, and a fireworks display, underscoring the resort's commitment to providing unparalleled guest experiences.
